 Automate Cost Control using AWS Service Catalog and AWS Budgets


Suppose you have a dev team that wants to use AWS Sagemaker to develop AI models.  You have AWS Control Tower and Account Factory configured to use a Service Catalog providing the Sagemaker resource.  Without budget controls, the cost for compute could become significant even with the dev's best intention on keeping costs low.

CloudFormation can be used as show in this AWS blog to set up infrastructure with Budget guard rules in place to automatically notify and control cost.
